Instant Jamun Sharbat, learn how to prepare this super easy jamun sharbat drink at home using black plum/jamun and sugar/jaggery. Jamun or Black plum is rich in nutrition. It is good for diabetics people and also helps to ease digestion. I have referred “50 Great Recipes – Sharbats” book for the recipe.

I have tried two methods to prepare jamun sharbat. One method is to cook chopped jamun in water for few minutes and strain the pulp. Other method is to blend the pulp and use for drinking. Add sugar/jaggery/honey as a sweetener. Serve this drink with ice cubes. Sprinkle lemon juice at the time of serving.

Learn how to make this summer coolant drink using indian black plums

Ingredients

  • 250 gm Jamun seeds removed
  • Sugar/Jaggery according to your need
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • Water

Instructions

  • Wash jamun and remove the seeds. Take the flesh part alone and boil it with 3 cup of water for 5-10 mins. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
  • Blend it in a juicer and filter the pulp. Add sugar/jaggery and lemon juice. Add more water if needed. Keep it in refrigerator and serve chilled.
